A new comics anthology series begins here! From cartoonist Andrew Sztehlo comes a first issue of 44 pages containing stories that evoke the folkloric past, dripping with atmosphere, menace, and terror.

Collected within are some of the best stories from the anthology webcomic - as well as new, exclusive stories and essays.

"Spellbound" - a short comics adaptation of the eponymous poem by Emily Brontë. A woman is lost in darkness, as the environment around her appears increasingly threatening.

"Jack on Fire" - a silent comic that evokes the work of woodcut graphic novels by the likes of Frans Masareel and Lynd Ward, this evocative and disturbing story tells of a US Army general in the Old West, who has gone mad with bloodlust.

"The Stations of the Cross" - a new comic that is EXCLUSIVE to the print edition, set in the medieval past and following a wandering knight across a dark and sinister landscape.

"Oh Willie Mae" - a short story following legendary blues guitarist Robert Johnson as he wanders into a small town - where nothing is as it seems.

Also inside are exclusive illustrations and an essay on the music of Nick Cave.
